Nie tak dawno zobaczyłam na Instagramie świetny projekt, nazywa się #halloweenforevercollab. Każdego miesiąca grupa robi straszne, halloween'owe zdobienia o jakiejś konkretnej tematyce. Jak możecie się domyślić, nie mogłabym odmówić halloween'owej kolaboracji!!!

W tym miesiącu tematem są Disney/Kreskówki, Straszne/Carny Charakter a dodatkowo mani powinny być neonowe, świecące w ciemności albo jedno i drugie. Oto na co ja wpadłam 😀

Not long ago I saw a great collab on Instagram, it's called #halloweenforevercollab. Every month the group does spooky, Halloween nail arts with a certain theme in mind. As You can guess, I couldn't say no to a Halloween collaboration!!!

This month's theme is Disney/Cartoon, Spooky/Villains and additionally the manicure should be neon, glowing in the dark or both. Here's what I came up with 😀

 

Pomysł na temat tego miesiąca miałam prawie od razu. Wobraźcie sobie następującą sytuację: Mała Syrenka spotyka Damon'a Salvatore z Pmiętników Wampirów.. 😈 Oto jak zrodziła się moja Rządna Krwi Syrena.

The idea for this month's theme came to me almost instantly. Picture the fallowing situation: The Little Mermaid meets Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries..😈 That's how my Blood Thirsty Mermaid was born.

Jako koloru bazowego użyłam świecącego w ciemności lakieru - Serum No.5 Ultra Violet. Kiedy świtła gasną świeci on na jasny niebieski. Moim następnym krokiem było odbicie wzorka z płytki MoYou London Sailoir 20 na większości paznokci. Zrobiłam małą modyfikację w tym zdobieniu żeby było bardziej halloween'owe. Zamieniłam zwisające muszelki na nietoperze i pająki z płytki Lina Nail Art Supplies Spookicious 02. Syrena pochodzi z płytki Bundle Monster BM-XL211, też z małą modyfikacją. Pozbyłam się jej uśmiechu i dodałam usta z kłami. Napis 'blood thirsty mermaid' to miks wzorów z płytek Bundle Monster BM-S243 i BM-XL211. Wzory odbiłam czarnym lakierem Kads, B. Loves Plates B. a Strawberry i dodałam kilka innych kolorów.

As a base colour I used a glowing in the dark polish - Serum No.5 Ultra Violet. When the lights are out it glows light blue. My next step was stamping a design from MoYou London Sailor 20 plate on most of my nails. I made a little modification in this design to make it more Halloween-ish. I changed the dangling seashells for bats and spiders from Lina Nail Art Supplies Spooklicious 02 plate. The mermaid comes from Bundle Monster BM-XL211 plate, also with a little modification. I got rid of her smile and added lips with fangs. The 'blood thirsty mermaid' inscription is a mix of designs from two plates Bundle Monster BM-S243 and BM-XL211. I stamped the designs using Kads black stamping polish, B. Loves Plates B. a Strawberry and added some other colours.

Jak widzicie poszłam tutaj w szalone połączenie kolorystyczne. Chciałam zrobić coś pasującego do paznocki, ale nie pamiętam żebym wcześniej widziałam fiolet, czerwień i turkus na raz. Do stworzenia tego oka użyłam matowych cieni z palet Glam Shop Folety i Laguna. Folia to połączenie Marmurków Machlojka (w wewnętrznej części) i Narcyz (na środku) z Glam Shop'u. Wewnętrzny kącik rozjaśniłam cieniem Przypływ z palety Laguna. Piękny, czerwony liner, jakiego użyłam to Suva Beauty Hydra FX Cherry Bomb, czerwona mascara to Colourpop BFF Left On Red. Na lini wodnej jest Colourpop Creme Gel Liner Zulu i jest to również to czym pokryłam dolne rzęsy. Najpierw pomalowałam je na czarno tuszem Eveline Variete a potem nałożyłam kredkę na wierzch.

As You can see I went for a crazy colour combo here. I wanted to do something matching my nails, but I don't remember seeing purple, red and turquoise at once. To create this eye look I used matte shadows from Glam Shop Fiolety and Laguna palettes. The foil is a combination of Glam Shop Marble shadows Swindle (in inner part) and Narcissus (in the center). I lightened the inner corner with the shadows Przypływ from Laguna palette. The beautiful red liner I used is Suva Beauty Hydra FX Cherry Bomb, red mascara is Colourpop BFF Left On Red. On my waterline is Colourpop Creme Gel Liner Zulu and that's also what I covered my lower lashes with. First I pained them black with Eveline Variete mascara and then put the liner on top.

it's been so long since I posted. These past months I had a lot going on in my life and most of the time I just didn't have the energy or will to do my nails. Nowadays it's less hectic, so perhaps You'll be seeing more of my nail art.

Bardzo się cieszę, że wzięłam udzieł w konkursie ISND. To była fajna zabawa, przypomniałąm sobie jak kocham zdobienie paznokci i nawet dostałam nagrodę od Ani. Jedną płytkę do stempli i dwa lakiery do stempli do wyboru.

I'm glad I took part in the ISND contest. It was a lot of fun, it reminded me how I love nail art and I even got a prize from Ania. One stamping plate and two stamping polishes of my choice.

Na prawdę żal mi, że u nas nie świętujemy tego dnia. Mimo to jednak bardzo lubię to święto i mam nadzieję, że Wy świetnie się bawicie.

I'm really sad we don't celebrate this day. Nevertheless I really like this festive and I hope You're having the time of Your lives!

Glam Nails Challenge kończy się dzisiaj tematem Kości i zdecydowałam się na coś bardzo prostego.

Glam Nails Challenge ends today with the theme Bones and I decided to go with something really simple.

Na paznokciach mam mój ulubiony czarny lakier - Kiko 275 Black. Lakier ten ma świetną formułę, wygodny pędzelek, fajne krycie i dobrą cenę. Wszystko czego spodziewam się po dobrej czerni.

On the nails I have my all time favourite black polish - Kiko 275 Black. This polish has an amazing formula, a comfortable brush, nice coverage and a good price. Everything I expect from a good black.

Wybrałam dwa stemplowe wzorki związane z dzisiejszym tematem i położyłam je na paznokcie. Szkieletowe dłonie pochodzą z płytki Major Dijit 21 a gotycka kamea jest z płytki Bundle Monster BM-612. Oba wzorki są odbite lakierem Kaleidoscope by El Corazon 02 White.

I chose two stamping designs related to today's theme to put on my nails. The skeleton hands come from Major Dijit 21 plate and the gothic cameo is from Bundle Monster BM-612 plate. Both designs are stamped with Kaleidoscope by El Corazon 02 White.

Kiedy moje zdobienie było gotowe pokryłam stemple top coat'em Kads Smudge Resistant i Golden Rose Matte.

When my nail art was ready I covered the stamping with Kads Smudge Resistant top coat and Golden Rose Matte.

No, jestem z siebie dumna. Udało mi się zrobić wszystkie tematy Glam Nails Challenge October. Nawet mimo trwającego w domu remontu! To na prawdę było wyzwanie, ale cóż mogę powiedzieć - po prostu aż tak bardzo jestem zakochana w Halloween'owym klimacie :D

Well, I'm actually proud of myself. I managed to do every single theme in Glam Nails Challenge October. Even though I have a on going home renovation! That really was a challenge, but what can I say - I just love Halloween spirit that much :D

Trochę się spóźniłam z tym postem, bo mani w temacie Spooky Night Sky w Glam Nails Challenge były zaplanowane na 10tego października. Udało mi się wrzucić moją pracę na IG na czas, jednak to pierwsza okazja żeby usiąść w spokoju i o nim napisać. Ostatnio życie jest gorączkowe ponieważ zaczęliśmy remont w domu i ilość spraw do załatwienia jest po prostu szalona.

I'm a bit late with this post, because Spooky Night Sky manicures in Glam Nails Challenge were scheduled for 10th October. I managed to post my work on IG in time, but this is the first chance I got to sit down in peace and write about it. Life has been hectic lately, because we started renovating our house and the amount of errands to run is just crazy.

Moje Straszne Nocne Niebo jest fioletowo-niebieskie. Jako bazy użyłam Color Club Disco Dress. To ciemny, ale dość jaskrawy fiolet o świetnej formule. Potrzebowałam dwóch średnich warstw do pełnego krycia.

My Spooky Night Sky is purple and blue. As a base I used Color Club Disco Dress. It's a dark, but quite bright purple with a great formula. I needed two medium coats for full opacity.

Przy tym mani chciałam mieć co najmniej dwa kolory jako bazę, a to zazwyczaj prosi się o gradient. Jeśli obserwujecie mojego bloga pewnie wiecie, że rzadko je robię. Za dużo bałaganu jak dla mnie. Najlepszym sposobem na ułatwienie sobie zadania to zrobienie stempli. Dalej jestem beznadziejna w używaniu tego pustego prostokąta do gradientów, który pojawił się jakiś czas temu na rzeszy płytek. Zamiast niego używam wzorka z płytki Bundle Monster BM-XL19, który według mnie wygląda najbardziej podobnie do gradientu.

In this manicure I really wanted to have at least two colours as my base and that usually calls for a gradient. If You fallow my blog, You probably know I rarely do them. To messy for me. The best way to make the process easier is to do stamping. I still suck at using the blank rectangular design for gradients that appeared on a bunch of stamping plates a while back. Instead I use a design from Bundle Monster BM-XL19 plate that in my opinion looks the closest to a gradient.

Lakier jaki dobrałam do fioletu to Mundo de Unas Blue. Jak widzicie jest super napigmentowany i nawet na tak ciemnym fiolecie wygląda jaskrawo.

The polish I pared the purple with is Mundo de Unas Blue. As You can see it's super pigmented and even on such a dark purple looks vibrant.

Kolejnym krokiem było dodanie księżyca w pełni na palcu serdecznym i kciuku. W ten sposób nie ma wątpliwości, że na moich paznokciach jest noc ;) Wzorek jest warstwowy i pochodzi z płytki Clear Jelly Stamper Haunted Mansion. Odbiłam go lakierem Kaleidoscope by El Corazon 02 White i China Glaze Pelican Grey.

My next step was adding a full moon on my ring finger and thumb. This way there's no doubt that it's night time on my nails ;) This design is a layered one and comes from Clear Jelly Stamper Haunted Mansion plate. I stamped it with Kaleidoscope by El Corazon 02 White and China Glaze Pelican Grey.

Na moich paznokciach możecie zobaczyć upiorne drzewa i cmentarz. Wzorki te odbijane były osobno, ale oba pochodzą z płytki Clear Jelly Stamper Haunted Mansion. Odbiłąm je używając lakieru Kaleidoscope by El Corazon 01 Black.

On my nails You can see some spooky trees and a graveyard. These designs were stamped separately but both come from Clear Jelly Stamper Haunted Mansion plate. I stamped them using Kaleidoscope by El Corazon 01 Black.

REVIEW: Born Pretty Store BP-FS01 Recall

Pewnie już słyszeliście, że Born Pretty Store zaprojektowało nowe buteleczki dla swoich lakierów. Szeroko reklamowali ten fakt w social mediach i nawet rozdali trochę produktów w tej nowej wersji. Mnie został wysłąny jeden lakier do recenzji w ramach współpracy i możecie go zobaczyć poniżej.

You probably heard by now that Born Pretty Store designed new bottles for their polishes. They widely advertised this fact on social media and even gave away some products in this new version. I was send one polish for review as a part of my collaboration and You can see it below.

Muszę powiedzieć, że nie jestem zachwycona tą zmianą i mam ku temu kilka powodów. Po pierwsze nie jestem fanką tego projektu butelki jako takiej. Dla niektórych z Was może wyglądać elegancko czy zgrabnie, alemi bardziej podobały się te prostokątne (regularne i do stempli). Może mam słąbość do geometrii i prostoty, nie wiem. Pewne jest zaś, że na prawdę dobrze się przechowywały w pudełkach. Drugą kwestią jest pojemność buteleczki, to tylko 6ml! Nic dziwnego, że wygląda smukło.. Jest po prostu małą, oto sekret. Holosie w prostokątnych butelkach jakie mam od BPS mają 10ml, a stemplowe lakiery 15ml. Prawdę mówiąc nie wydają mi się toporne czy cokolwiek takiego. Nie mniej jednak żeby zachować obiektywizm muszę powiedzieć, że mniejsza pojemność może mieć też zalety. Lakier może zachować taką samą konsystencję, ponieważ będziemy go mieć przez mniej czasu aż go wykończymy (chociaż w moim przypadku wydaje się, żę bardziej chodzi o ilość otwarć niż czas jaki lakier pozostaje w moich rękach i to decyduje o jego "świeźości"). Kupujemy mniejszą ilość produktu więc jeśli nam się nie spodoba, to nie aż taka strata. W teorii możemy też kupić więcej różnych lakierów za cenę jednej większej buteleczki. Przynajmniej w teorii.. a to ostatnia rzecz, która mnie niepokoi - cena. Mam nadzieję, że BPS nie spróbuje sprzedać nam mniejszej ilości produktu za podobną cenę.. W tej chwili możemy porównać cenę produktów w starych i nowych buteleczkach i przekonać się co jest bardziej opłacalne, ale co będzie jak starsze produkty znikną?

I have to say that I'm not thrilled by this change and I have a few reasons for that. First of all I'm not a big fan of this bottle design itself. For some of You it might look elegant or graceful, but I liked the rectangular ones better (regular and stamping). Maybe I'm a sucker for geometry or simplicity, I don't know. What's certain is that they stored in boxes really well. The second thing is the capacity of the bottle, it's only 6ml! No wonder it looks so slim.. It's just small, that's the secret. The holos in rectangular bottles I have from BPS have 10ml and the stamping polishes are 15ml. Quite frankly they don't appear clunky or any thing like that to me. Nevertheless to obtain objectivity I have to say that the smaller capacity can have some advantages as well. The polish might keep the same consistency, because we'll have it for a lesser amount of time before we use it all up (although in my case it seems to be more about the amount of openings than the time the polish stays in my hands and that decides about it's "freshness"). We buy a smaller amount of product and if we don't like it it's not such a waste. In theory we can also buy more different polishes at the cost of one bigger bottle. At least in theory.. and that's the last thing that worries me - the price. I hope BPS won't try to sell us less product for a similar price.. At this moment we can compare the price of products in old and new bottles and see what's more affordable, but what happens when the older products disappear?

To wszystko co mam do powiedzenia na temat samej buteleczki. Lakier jaki w niej przyszedł to całkiem inna historia. Dostałam Born Pretty Store BP-FS01 Recall i starsznie mi się nie spodobał jak go zobaczyłam po raz pierwszy.. To miętowa, jakby perłowa baza z holograficznym mikro glitter'em, która opalizuje na różowo i złoto. Tak ja opisałabym ten lakier. Jest też bardzo brzezroczysty.. i od razu pomyślałam o starych emaliach z lat 90tych, które dodawano do gazet dla nastolatków jak byłam w podstawówce. Wszystko to, to jednak moje pierwsze wrażenia i przyznaję, że ten lakier dużo zyskał w stylizacji na jaką wpadłam.

That's all I have to say about the bottle itself. The polish that came in it is a whole other story. I got Born Pretty Store BP-FS01 Recall and I hated it when I first saw it.. It's a mint, kind of pearly base with holographic micro glitter, that opalizes with pink and gold. That's how I'd describe this polish. It's also very sheer.. and immediately thought of the old 90's enamels that were added to teen magazines when I was in grade school. All of these though were my first impressions and I admit that the polish gained a lot in the stylization I came up with.

Zdecydowałam, że nie ma sensu budować krycia tym lakierem. Myślę, że moje białe końcówki byłyby widoczne bez względu na wszystko. Koniec końców nałożyłam dwie cienkie wartwy i zrobiłam stemple na końcówkach żeby je ukryć.

I decided there's no use to build the opacity with this polish. I think my white tips would stuck out no matter what. I ended up applying two thin coats and doing a stamping design on the tips to hide them.

Wzorek jakiego tutaj użyłam pochodzi z płytki Bundle Monster BM-XL19 i jest najlepszą imitacją gradientu w mojej kolekcji. Odbiłąm go lakierem Kaleidoscope by El Corazon 02 White.

The design I used here comes from Bundle Monster BM-XL19 plate and is the best imitation of a gradient in my collection. I stamped it with Kaleidoscope by El Corazon 02 White.

Nie było to moim zamiarem, ale ten manicure wygląda bardzo zimowo. przywiódł mi na myśl Elsę z Krainy Lodu :) Nie jest to typowy manicure w środku lata, ale na prawdę spodobało mi się jak wyszedł. Byłam dość zaskoczona tym jak ładnie wyglądał lakier z BPS w tej kombinacji. Po tym jak w ogóle mi się nie spodobał na początku możliwe, że nawet użyję go ponownie w przyszłości ;) Jeśli Wam się podoba, możecie go znaleźć TUTAJ razem z innymi kolorami z tej serii.

This wasn't my intention, but this manicure looks really wintry. It made me think of Elsa from Frozen :) Not your typical manicure in the middle of summer, but I really liked how it turned out. I was quite astonished by how nice the BPS polish looked in this combination. After not liking it at all at first I think I might even use it again in the future ;) If You like it You can find it HERE along with the other colours from this series.

Lubicie galaktyczne paznokcie? Ten typ zdobienia był jakiś czas temu bardzo popularny. Próbowałam kilku kombinacji kolorystycznych w tamtym czasie, a teraz chciałabym pokazać Wam moją najnowszą próbę. Tym razem użyłam jako bazy lakierów magnetycznych.

Hey there!

Do You like galaxy nails? This type of design was very popular a while ago. I tried a few coloristic combinations back in the day and now I'd like to show You my newest attempt. This time I used magnetic polishes as a base.

Zaczęłam tem manicure od nałożenia jednej warstwy Essie No More Film, żebym musiała użyć tylko jednej warstwy lakieru magnetycznego na wierzch, a mimo to osiągnęła pełne krycie. Lakiery magnetyczne jakie wybrałam to Masura The Universe i Andromeda's Nebula. Jak widzicie nawet ich nazwy idealnie pasują do galaktycznej myśli przewodniej tego zdobienia.

I started this manicure by applying one coat of Essie No More Film, so that I would only have to use one coat of the magnetic polishes on top an still achieve full coverage. The magnetic polishes I chose were Masura The Universe and Andromeda's Nebula. As You can see even their names fit the galaxy theme of this nail art perfectly.

Pokryłam cały paznokieć lakierem Masura The Universe i nałożyłam gąbeczką losowe plamy Andromeda's Nebula. Na tym etapie nie używałąm magnesu, dalej dokładałam koloru aż byłam zadowolona ze stworzonego tła. Następnie nałożyłąm jedną warstwę INM Out The Door i namanesowałam całość za jednym zamachem.

I covered the whole nail with Masura The Universe and applied Andromeda's Nebula in random patches using a sponge. At this point I didn't use a magnet, I just kept sponging the colours until I was happy with the created background. Afterwards I applied one coat of INM Out The Door and magnetized the whole thing at one go.

The design You can see on my nails comes from Bundle Monster BM-XL213 plate, I stamped it using Color Club French Tip and Born Pretty Store Clear Jelly Silicone Marshmallow Stamper.

Jak Wam się podoba końcowy rezultat? Myślę, że dzięki unikalnemu efektowi dostarczonemu przez lakiery magnetyczne moje galaktyczne zdobienie zyskało dużo głębi. Kolejną świetną rzeczą jest fakt, że lakiery Masura jakich użyłąm mają holograficzne drobinki i uwierzcie mi - wyglądały one niesamowiciew tym zdobieniu.

How do You like the end result? I think that thanks to the unique effect magnetic polishes provide my galaxy nail art gained a lot of depth. Another great thing is that the Masura polishes I used have holographic particles and believe me - they looked amazing in this nail art.

Dzisiejszy manicure imituje jedną z najbardziej brudzących technik zdobienia paznokci - water marble. Na szczęście dużo firm produkujących płytki do stempli wymyśliło obrazki, które wyglądają bardzo podobnie do wzorów water marble, więc nie musimy już pracować z wodą, jeśli nie chcemy. Osobiście nigdy nie próbowałam oryginalnej techniki, wiedziełam bowiem, że jest ona dla mnie zbyt skomplikowana. Nie wspominając już o czyszczeniu skórek, które pewnie doprowadziłoby mnie do szału.

Thankfully a lot of companies producing stamping plates came up with images that look just like water marble patterns, so we no longer have to work with water if we don't want to. I personally never tried the original technique, I knew it's way to complicated for me. Not to mention the cuticle clean-up would probably drive me crazy.

As a base in the nail art You can see on my nails I used a very vibrant holographic polish and pared it with a black stamping design. The holo is Cupcake Polish Berry Good Looking and I applied two thin coats for full coverage.

The design that imitates water marble so well comes from Bundle Monster BM-XL210 plate. I stamped it with Kaleidoscope by El Corazon 01 Black and Born Pretty Store Clear Jelly Silicone Marshmallow Stamper.

Cały manicure zabezpieczyłąm jedną warstwą Kads Smudge Resistant Top Coat i jedną warstwą INM Out The Door.

The whole manicure is secured with one leayer of Kads Smudge Resistant Top Coat and one layer of INM Out The Door.

Kilka pierwszych zdjęć zrobiłam w świetle naturalnym i holograficzne włąściwości mojego bazowego lakieru nie były zbytnio widoczne. Tutaj jest kilka fotek w sztucznym oświetleniu, żebyście mogli podziwiać efekt holo :)

I made the first few photos in natural light and the holographic properties of my base polish were not as visible. Here are some pictures in artificial lighting, so You can admire the holo effect :)
