REVIEW: BeautyBigBang Skull Nail Water Decals

Wspominałam w moim ostatnim poście, że paznokcie mam bardzo krótkie i postaram się je takie utrzymać przez kilka tygodni. Miałam ogromny problem z zawijaniem. Jak tylko moje paznokcie osiągały pewną długość niektóre z nich z jednej strony się zawijały i wyglądały na nierówne. Próbowałąm to skorygować odpowiednim piłowaniem, ale w pewnym momencie wyglądało to już na prawdę źle. Zdecydowałam się drastycznie je skrócić i zobaczyć czy sytuacja się poprawi. Nie miałam tego problemu w przeszłości, więc pomyślałam, że jest to wynik noszenia przez długi okres czasu długich paznokci. Mam nadzieję, że skrócenie ich pomoże, bo to zawijanie niemiłosiernie mnie wkurzało. Zważywszy na tą sytuację nie będę w najbliższym czasie robiła żadnych zdobień. Na szczęście mam dużo nieopublikowanych prac, więc będę miałą materiał do dodawania tutaj na blogu.

I mentioned in my last post that my nails are really short and I'll try to keep them that way for a few weeks. I had a huge problem with curving. Whenever my nails reached a certain length some of them curved on one side and looked uneven. I tried to correct that fact filling properly, but at some point it looked really bad. I decided to drastically shorten them and see if the situation improves. I didn't have problems like this in the past, so I thought it might be a result of wearing long nails for a long period of time. I hope shortening them will help, because this curving was very irritating for me. Considering that situation I won't be doing any new nail arts in the nearest future. Thankfully I have a lot of unpublished work, so I'll have material to post here on my blog.

Arkusz jaki dostałam ma 10 wzorów, zawiera 5 kwiatowo-czaszkowych kompozycji w różnych rozmiarach i ich lustrzane odbicia do nałożenia na drugą rękę. Naklejki te mają symbol BN-189.

Back to the theme of todays post, I come to You with a review of water decals from BeautyBigBang on-line store. The sheet I got has 10 designs, it contains 5 differently sized flower-skull compositions and they're mirror reflection to put on our other hand. These decals have the symbol BN-189.

Żeby przetestować te naklejki zdecydowałam się użyć dwóch obrazków prezentujących tą samą czaszkę, ale w różnych rozmiarach. Mniejszą na mały palec, a większą na serdeczny. Nałożyłam naklejki na białą bazę (dwie warstwy Safari 56), ale nie jest to konieczne. Naklejki mają swoje własne białę tło, chciałam jednak być pewna, że kolory będą wygladać żywo i czysto. Nakładanie tych całopaznokciowych naklejek było podobne do każdych innych (mój opis jest TUTAJ), ale na początku wycięłam naklejki żeby bardziej pasowały do moich paznokci. Boki naklejek łatwo rozpuszczają się w acetonie, jednak chciałam uniknąć babrania się w okolicy skórek. Kiedy naklejki były na paznokciach delikatnie dotknęłam ich małym pędzelkiem zamoczonym w zmywaczu. Pomogło to wtopić się naklejkom w bazę i wyrównało krawędzie. Na koniec pokryłam je tylko top coat'em Golden Rose Matte.

To test these decals I decided to use two images presenting the same skull, but in a different size. The smaller one for my pinkie and the bigger one for my ring finger. I applied the decals on a white base (two coats of Safari 56), but it's not necessary. The decals have a white background of their own, but I wanted to be sure the colours look vibrant and clear. The application process of these full nail decals is similar to any other (my description is HERE), but in the beginning I cut the decals to fit my nails better. The sides of the decal dissolve in acetone quite easily, nevertheless I wanted to avoid messiness in my cuticle area. When the decals were on my nails I just delicately touched the sides with a small brush dipped in nail polish remover. This helps to sink the decal into the base and smoothen the sides. In the end I just covered them with Golden Rose Matte.

Na pozostałych paznokciach mam dwie warstwy My Secret Dressed In Black pokryte tym samym matowym top coat'em - Golden Rose Matte.

On my other nails I have two coats of My Secret Dressed In Black covered with the same matte top coats - Golden Rose Matte.

Praca z tymi naklejkami wodnymi była szybka i łatwa. Są one bardzo cienkie, więc nie miałam żadnych problemów z nałożeniem ich płasko na paznokcie. Jak widzicie uniknęłam też zmarszczek czy bąbelków na powierzchni, a nie mam za dużego doświadczenia z całopaznokciowymi naklejkami. Myślę, że są one świetnym produktem do nail art'u. Working with these water decals was quick and easy. They're very thin, so I didn't have any problems with putting them flat on my nails. As You can see I also managed to avoid any wrinkles or bubbles on the surface and I'm not very experienced with full nail decals. I think they're a great nail art products. Christmas is closer and closer and the mix of colours in my manicure screams Holidays. Today in #glamnailschallengedec we're doing Poinsettia's.

Najpierw nałożyłam na paznokcie dwa kremowe lakiery jako bazę pod brokaty. Na serdecznym i kciuku jedną warstwę O.P.I Christmas Gone Plaid, a na reszcie paznokci jedną warstwę Kiko 240 Apple Red. Na tym etapie zrobiłam wszelkie poprawki i byłam gotowa żeby przejść do brokatowych lakierów.

First I applied two cream polishes on my nails as a base for the glitters. On my ring finger and thumb one coat of O.P.I Christmas Gone Plaid and on the rest of the nails one coat of Kiko 240 Apple Red. At this point I made all the clean-ups and I was ready to go in with the glitter polishes.

Zielone paznokcie pokryłam China Glaze Glittering Garland (dwie cienkie warstwy), a czerwone China Glaze Ruby Pumps (również dwie warstwy). Być może nie zobaczycie tego na moich zdjęciach, ale ta kombinacja brokatowych lakierów wygląda wspaniale. Próbowałam uchwycić ten efekt na zdjęciach w sztucznym świetle i dodam je na końcu postu, ale w rzeczywistości był o wiele bardziej magiczny.

I covered the green nails with China Glaze Glittering Garland (two thin coats) and the red nails with China Glaze Ruby Pumps (two coats as well). Perhaps You can't see it on my photos, but this combination of glitter polishes looks amazing. I tried to catch this effect on photos in artificial light and will put them in the end of this post, but in real life it's much more magical.

Oba wzory jakie mam na paznokciach pochodzą z płytki Uber Chic Holiday Jingle. Odbiłam je lakierem do stempli Born Pretty Store #1 i pokolorowałam tymi samymi brokatowymi lakierami których uzyłam wcześniej. Na koniec zabezpieczyłam tylko stemple top coat'em Kads i pokryłam wszystko INM Out The Door.

The designs I have on my nails both come from Uber Chic Holiday Jingle plate. I stamped them with Born Pretty Store stamping polish #1 and coloured with the same glitter polishes I used before. In the end I just secured the stamping with Kads top coat and covered the the whole thing with INM Out The Door.

Here are the photos I took in artificial light, but they still don't show how beautiful the glitters looked.

Niestety mam złe wieści.. To będzie prawdopodobnie moje ostatnie zdobienie w #glamnailschallengedec. Musiałam skrócić paznokcie do całkowitych króciaków i myślę, że nie będę miała serca stworzyć na nich czegokolwiek wartego pokazania. Może w przyszłym roku będę miala więcej szczęścia ;)

Unfortunately I have some bad news.. This will probably be my last nail art in #glamnailschallengedec. I had to shorten my nails to total nubs and I think I won't have the heart to create anything worth sharing on them. Maybe I'll have better luck next year.

it's time for the third nail art in #glamnailschallengedec. Today we're doing manicures with Jingle Bells. After my last entries that looked quite dark I decided to do something light, delicate and cheerful. I hope You'll like it!

Bazą w tym zdobieniu jest jeden z moich ulubionych jasnych kolorów - Color Club Poetic Hues. To świetny odcień ivory, który w moim przypadku kryje po dwóch grubszych warstwach. Jak na taki jasny odcień jest to na prawdę dobrze, ale słyszałam, że lakier ten nie jest najłatwiejszy w użyciu. Ja nie mam z nim żadnych problemów, ale mam go od zawsze, więc konsystencja może być inna niż w nowej buteleczce.

The base in this nail art is one of my favourite pale colours - Color Club Poetic Hues. It's an amazing ivory shade, that in my case covers the nails in two thicker coats. For such a light colour that's really good, but I heard that this polish isn't the easiest to work with. I don't have any problems with it, but I have it since forever, so the consistency might be different than in a brand new bottle.

W tym mani połączyłam kilka różnych wzorów żeby uzyskać interesujące tematyczne zdobienie. Główną rzeczą są naklejki stemplowe przedstawiające dzwonki (płytka Major Dijit 17). Dodałam także wijący się wzór z listkami ostrokrzewu i bardzo adekwatny do tematu napis (oba z płytki Lina Nail art Supplies Can't Wait For Xmas! 01). Lakiery jakich użyłam to Kaleidoscope 01 Black, Born Pretty Store stamping polish #1, Essie Russian Roulette i Kiko 297 Acid Green. Wszystkie wzorki odbiłam Stemplem Born Pretty Store Clear Jelly Silicone Marshmallow. Zabezpieczyłam je top coat'em Kads i INM Out The Door.

In this manicure I combined a few different stamping designs to achieve an interesting themed nail art. The main thing are the stamping decal featuring bells (Major Dijit 17 plate). I also added a swirly design with holly leaves and a very theme appropriate inscription (bot from Lina Nail Art Supplies Can't Wait For Xmas! 01 plate). The polishes I used are Kaleidoscope 01 Black, Born Pretty Store stamping polish #1, Essie Russian Roulette and Kiko 297 Acid Green. All of the design were stamped with Born Pretty Store Clear Jelly Silicone Marshmallow Stamper. I secured them with Kads top coat and INM Out The Door.

Jest dzień Św. Mikołaja i ta postać jest tematem dzisiejszego zgłoszenia w wyzwaniu #glamnailschallengedec.

It's Santa Claus's day and this character is the theme of today's #glamnailschallengedec promopts.

Manicure jaki przygotowałam ma prostą, czarną bazę. Użyłam My Secret Dressed In Black i nałożyłam dwie warstwy. Moim kolejnym krokiem było stworzenie plamy na środku każdego paznokcia. Początkowo miał to być okrągły gradient, ale w pewnym momencie dałam sobie spokój i zostawiłam plamę w spokoju. Użyłam Essie Avenue Maintain a później China Glaze Dorothy Who? żeby dodać trochę błysku mojemu zimowemu niebu (w tym właśnie kierunku szłam).

The manicure I prepared has a simple, black base. I used My Secret Dressed In Black and applied two coats. My next step was creating the blue blob in the middle of each nail. Initially it was supposed to be a radial gradient, but I gave up at some point and left the blob be. I used Essie Avenue Maintain and after that China Glaze Dorothy Who? to give my winter sky (that what I was going for) a little spark.

Kiedy baza była gotowa zaczełam odbijać Mokołaja na jego saniach. Cały ten obrazek z reniferami włacznie pochodzi z płytki MoYou London Festive 01. Odbiłam go lakierem do stempli Born Pretty Store #3 i Stemplem B, Loves Plates Crystal Clear. Wszystkie migoczące gwiazdki na moich paznokciach również pochodzą z tej samej płytki MoYou London i zostały zrobione lakierem Color Club Over The Moon. Jestem pewna, że w matowej wersji nie zoabczycie, że są one holograficzne, ale na końcu posta dodałam też kilka zdjęć błyszczących.

When the base was ready I started stamping Santa Claus on his sled. This whole image including the reindeers comes from MoYou London Festive 01 plate, I stamped it with Born Pretty Store stamping polish #3 and B. Loves Plates Crystal Clear Stamper. All of the sparkling stars on my nails also come from the same MoYou London plate and they were made with Color Club Over The Moon. I'm pretty sure You can't see they're holographic in the matte version, but at the end of this post I added a few glossy photos as well.

Z początku nie miałam na niego pomysłu, ale z pomoca przyszła płytka Lina Nail Art Supples Can't Wait For Xmas! 02. Na koniec zabezpieczyłam jeszcze wszystko top coat'em Kads i dodałam jedną warstwę Golden Rose Matte.

Below You can see a closer look on my thumb. I stamped a "ho, ho, ho!" inscription on this nail. I didn't have an idea for it at first, but the Lina Nail Art Supples Can't Wait For Xmas! 02 plate came to the rescue. In the end I just secured everything with Kads top coat and added a layer of Golden Rose Matte.

Tutaj z kolei manicure w wersji z błyszczącym top coat'em. Zdjęcia wyglądaja gówniano jak zwykle, ale musze powiedzieć, że baza ślicznie migotała. Która wersja podoba Wam się bardziej?

Here on the other hand is the manicure with a glossy top coat. The photos look shitty as always, but I have to say the base sparkled really nicely. Which version do You like better?

I decided to join a new nail art challenge on Instagram. I had so much fun with the #clairestelle8halloween one that I couldn't resist all the Winter/Christmas themes I saw in #glamnailschallengedec. Today we're doing Snowflakes!

Zasadniczo zaplanowałam to mani już w zeszłym toku, jednak złapał mnie koniec zimy :D Najpier pokazuję Wam versję matową, ale koniecznie przejedźcie na dół żeby zobaczyć też błyszczącą.

I actually planned this manicure last year, but the end of winter caught me :D I'm showing You the matte version first, but be sure to scroll down to see the glossy one as well.

Kolorem bazowym tutaj jest zwykła czerń. Nałożyłam dwie warstwy mojego ulubionego My Secret Dressed In Black. Kiedy lakier wysechł i zrobiłam wszystkie konieczne poprawki nałożyłam jedną warstwę czerwonego, brokatowego top coat'u - Simple Beauty 167.

The base colour here is a plain black. I applied two coats of my favourite My Secret Dressed In Black. When the polish dried and I made all the necessary clean-ups and applied one coat of a red glitter top coat - Simple Beauty 167.

Kiedy moja baza była gotowa zaczęłam odbijać śnieżynki. Mam na paznokciach kilka róznych wzorów, ale wszystkie pochodzą z nowej płytki Lina Nail Art supplies 4 Seasons - Winter 02.  Lakier do stempli jakiego użyłam to Born Pretty Store #1, a stempel - B. Loves Plates Crystal Clear. Na koniec zabezpieczyłam wszystko top coat'em Kads i nałożyłam Golden Rose Matte.

Poniżej możecie zobaczyć błyszczącą wersję dzisiejszego mani. Obie mi się podobaja, ale jak zwykle błyszcząca beznadziejnie się fotografowała.

Below You can see the glossy version of my today's manicure. I liked both just as much, but as usual the glossy one photographed really badly.

To mani jest innym podejsciem do zdobienia, które zrobiłam już dwukrotnie. Możecie je zobaczyć TUTAJ i TUTAJ. Strasznie podobało mi się jak wyszło i już od tamtej pory chciałam zrobić inne warianty kolorystyczne.

This manicure is a different approach to a nail art I already did twice. You can see it HERE and HERE. I really loved how it came out and wanted to do other colour variations ever since.

Jestem pewna, że standardowa niebiesko/srebrna i dzisiejsza czerwono/złota kombinacja nie będą ostatnimi na moim blogu ;)

I'm sure that the standard blue/silver and today's red/gold combinations won't be the last ones on my blog ;)

REVIEW: BeautyBigBang 3D Flower Nail Art Stickers

dzisiaj przychodzę do Was z recenzją. Dobre trochę czasu temu dostałam Naklejki 3D ze sklepu BeautyBigBang i juz najwyższy czas o nich napisać.

Hi there,

today I come to You with a review. Quite some time ago I got some 3D Nail Art Stickers from BeautyBigBang and it's high time to write about them.

Naklejki przychodzą dużym plastikowym arkuszu, około 18x22cm. Dostajemy 9 rzędów różnych typów wzorów, każdy składający się z 12 indywidualnych naklejek. Większość z nich jest w założeniu całopaznokciowa, możemy jednak łatwo wyciąć z nich kawałek i użyć jako mniejszą naklejkę. Arkusz jaki recenzuję ma symbol J003 (na stronie SKU: 26627-RD) i jest metaliczno czerwony. Możecie go znelźć TUTAJ.

The stickers come on a big sheet of plastic, about 18x22cm. We get 9 rows of different types of designs and each of them consists of 12 individual stickers. Most of them are meant to be full nail designs, but we can easily cut out a part of them and use as a smaller sticker. The sheet I'm reviewing here has the symbol J003 (on the site SKU: 26627-RD) and it's metallic red. You can find it HERE.

Moja pierwsza próba użycia tych naklejek nie poszła za dobrze. Chciałam użyć jednego z całopaznokciowych wzorów i nałozyć go na dwa paznokcie. Jako bazę wybrałam srebrny, holograficzny lakier. Naklejki nie są tak cienkie jak naklejki wodne, ale wydawały się całkie eleastyczne. Myślałam, że będą ładnie przylegać do powierzchni paznokci, ale w niektorych miejscach nie mogłam ich zmusić do przyklejenia się. Przykład możecie zobaczyc na moim kciuku poniżej. Jest tam fałdka na brzegu paznokcia, która nie chciała się wygładzić.

My first attempt at using these stickers didn't go too well. I wanted to use one of the full nail designs and put it on two of my nails. As a base I chose over a silver, holographic polish. The stickers aren't as thin as water decals, but they seemed quite elastic. I thought they would adhere nicely to the nail surface, but in some areas I couldn't get them to stick. You can see an example on my thumb below. There's a wrinkle on the side of my nail that didn't want to stay put.

Kolejną rzeczą jaka mi przeszkadzała były koncówki paznokci. Przycięłam naklejki żeby pazowały do moich paznokci przy pomocy cążek do skórek już po nałożeniu. Próbowałam zrobić to jak najprecyzyjniej, ale nie chciały sie one dobrze przykleić do koncówek. Myślalam, że kiedy nałożę top coat na zakładnkę, rozpuści on trochę naklejkę i wszystko się wyrówna i wygładzi. Niestety.. Koniec naklejki dalej odstawał.

Another thing that bugged me were my tips. I cut the stickers to fit my nails with cuticle nippers after I applied them. I tried to do it as precisely as possible, but they didn't stick firmly to my tips. I thought that when I apply a top coat and wrap the tip it would dissolve the sticker a bit and even the whole thing out.. No such thing.. The end of the sticker still stuck out.

Top coat zrobił za to cos innego. Rozmazał naklejkę.. Nawet nie pomyślałam o użyciu top coat'u przyjaznego zdobieniom, ponieważ niegdy mi się cos takiego nie zdażyło przy użyciu naklejek. INM Out The Door zrujnował wszystko.

The top coat did do something else though. It smudged the sticker.. I didn't think to use a nail art friendly top coat, because something like this never happened to me before while using stickers. INM Out The Door ruined the whole thing.

Tak łatwo się nie poddałam! Jak widzicie za drugim razem użyłam tylko kawałka wzoru. Tym sposobem uniknełam wpadek przy brzegach paznokci. Pokryłam też naklejki top coat'em Kads żeby je zabezpieczyć i dopiero potem INM Out The Door. Do tego momentu wszystko szło gładko. Nawet spodobało mi się jak wyszło to zdobienie.

I didn't give up that easily! You can see that the second time round I used just a part of a design. This way I could avoid any fails on the edge of my nails. I also covered the stickers with Kads top coat first to secure them and then INM Out The Door. Up to this point all went smoothly. I even liked how this nail art turned out.

Jedune "ale" tutaj to fakt, że można zobaczyć gdzie konczy się naklejka. Tło jest idealnie przezroczyste, ale brzeg jest leciuuuutko widoczny. Posądzam, że wchodzi to w grę tylko jak używamy bardzo jasnej bazy, chciałam o tym jednak wspomnieć.

The only "but" here is the fact that You can see where the sticker ends. The background is perfectly clear, but the edge is juuuuust slightly visible. I suppose this only comes out when we use a very light base colour, but still I wanted to mention it.

Poniżej są produkty jakich użyłam w moim udanym mani. Lakier bazowy pod naklejkami to OPI My Vampire Is Buff (dwie warstwy) pokryty jedną warstwą INP Scarlet. Brokatowo czerwone paznokcie zostały stworzone przez nałożenie jednej warstwy Essie Russian Roulette i dwóch warstw China Glaze Ring In The Red.

Below are the products I used in my successful manicure. The base polish under the stickers was OPI My Vampire Is Buff (two coats) covered with a layer of ILNP Scarlet. The glittery red nails we're created by applying one coat of Essie Russian Roulette and two coats of China Glaze Ring In The Red.

Wracając do Naklejek 3D od BeautyBigBang. Myślę, że można stworzyć z nimi bardzo ąłdne mani, trzeba tylko poznać produkt. Podoba mi się ich metalicznych, wygląda bardzo elegancko na paznokciach. Aplikacja była dość szybka i łatwa kiedy wiedziało sie już czego unikać. Być może niektórym z Was uda się nawet użyć tych naklejek jak wzorów całopaznokciowych z lepszym ode mnie skutkiem. W moim przypadku będą one zdecydowanie służyć jako mniejsze naklejki. Nastepnym razem muszę je przetestować na ciemniejszej bazie i zobaczyć jak pójdzie (spoiler: mam jeszcze arkusz niebieski).

Back to the 3D Flower Nail Art Stickers from BeautyBigBang. I think You can create some very nice manicures with them, You just have to get to know the product. I like the metallic colour, it looks very elegant on the nail. The application was quite quick and easy when I knew what to avoid. Perhaps some of You can even use these stickers as full nail designs and get better results then I did. In my case they'll definitively serve as smaller stickers. Next time I'll have to test them on a darker base and see how it goes (spoiler: I have a blue sheet as well ;)).
