#HalfWayToHalloweenInstaParty - Bloody Letters From The Chemistry Of Death

Dwa dni temu wpadłam na Instagramie na bardzo ciekawy hashtag - #HalfWayToHalloweenInstaParty. Inicjatywa jest świetna i wiecie jaki mam stosunek do Halloween. Oczywistym było, że musialam dołączyc :D Impreza zaczęła się 24ego kwietnia i kończy się dzisiaj. Nie miałam za wiele czasu żeby wymyślić manicure, ale jestem zadowolona z tego co udało mi się zrobić.

Hi there!

Two days ago I came across a very interesting hashtag on Instagram - #HalfWayToHalloweenInstaParty. The initiative is great and You know how I feel about Halloween. It was obvious I had to participate :D The party started on the 24th of April and ends today. I didn't have a lot of time to come up with a manicure, but I'm happy with what I managed to do.

Duża część tego zdobienia była inspirowana mani jakie zobaczyłam w internecie (TUTAJ). Dodałam co prawda trochę krwi, ale zasługi należą sie też Ruth z adorenedclaws.com. Kolejną inspiracja do zrobienia tego mani była dla mnie seria książek Simon'a Beckett'a zaczynająca się od Chemii Śmierci. Myślę, że patrząć na moje zdobienie łatwo można dostrzec podobieństwo do okładek tej powieści.

A big part of this nail art was inspired by a manicure I saw on the internet (HERE). I did add some blood to it, but credit to Ruth from adorenedclaws.com is in order. Another thing that inspired me to do this manicure was a series of books by Simon Beckett started with The Chemistry Of Death. I think looking at my nail art You can easily see the resemblance to the book covers of this novel.

Kolor bazowy tutaj to czerń. Nałożyłam swie warstwy Kiko 275 Black i poczekałam aż całkowicie wyschną. Następnym krokiem było zrobienie jaśniejszej przestrzeni na środku paznokcia. Użyłam lakieru Virtual London Fog i naciapałam go gąbką.

The base colour here was black. I applied two coats of Kiko 275 Black and waited for it to dry completely. My next step was making the light area in the centre of my nail. I used Virtual London Fog and dabbed it with a sponge.

Litery jakie możecie zobaczyć na moich paznokciach to wzór z płytki MoYou London Gothic 04. Odbiłam je Stemplem Born Pretty Store XL Clear i lakierem Kaleidoscope 01 Black.

The letters You can see on my nails are a design from MoYou London Gothic 04 plate. I stamped them with Born Pretty Store XL Clear Stamper and Kaleidoscope 01 Black.

 

Żeby wykończyć look dodałam trochę kropel krwi. Użyłam płytki MoYou London Artist 23, lakieru Kaleidoscope 13 True Red i tego samego przezroczystego stempla co wcześniej.

To finish the look I added some blood drops. I used MoYou London Artist 23 plate, Kaleidoscope 13 True Red and the same clear stamper as before.

Manicure zabezpieczyłam dwoma top coat'ami. Najpierw Kads żeby uniknąć rozmazania stempli, potem INM Out The Door żeby przyśpieczyć wysychanie.

I secured the manicure with two top coats. First first Kads to avoid smudging the stamping, next with INM Out The door to speed the drying process.

Jak podoba Wam się to mani? Wiem, że nie każdy tak lubi Halloween, ale mimo wszytsko - mam nadzieję, że  przyjemnie oglądało sie to zrobienie :)

Ta okazja woła o tematyczne mani, więc zrobiłam trochę pisanek i zajączków na paznokciach. Główne kolory to szarość i jasny róż.

This occasion calls for a themed manicure, so I made some Easter eggs and bunnies on my nails. The main colours are grey and light pink.

Kolor bazowy na moich paznokciach to Salon Perfect Foggy Night. Nałożyłam dwie warstwy i zaczęłam odbijać pisankowy wzorek z płytki MoYou London Festive 22. Użyłam lakieru do stempli Colour Alike & B. Loves Plates B. a Sweetheart oraz Stempla B. Loves Plates Crystal Clear.

The base colour on most of my nails is Salon Perfect Foggy Night. I applied two coats and started stamping my Easter egg pattern from MoYou London Festive 22 plate. I used Colour Alike & B. Loves Plates B. a Sweetheart stamping polish and B. Loves Plates Crystal Clear Stamper.

Na kciuk i palec serdeczny wybrałam różową bazę i naklejki stemplowe. Kolor bazowy to ten sam lakier, którym odbijałam pisankowy wzór. Użyłam dwóch warstw, ale lakier był tak gęsty, że było to nie lada wyzwanie. Naklejka zrobiona została na przezroczystym stemplu, a kiedy trochę wyschła (ale nie w 100%) przykleiłam ją do paznokcia. Zajączek pochodzi z płytki Uber Chic Yay Spring!. Odbiłam go lakierem Kaleidoscope 01 Black, a następnie pokolorowałam Salon Perfect Foggy Night i Golden Rose Ice Chic 06.

For my thumb and ring finger I chose a pink base and some stamping decals. The base colour is actually the same polish I stamped the Easter egg pattern with. I used two coats, but the polish is really thick and painting with it was a challenge. The decal was made on a clear stamper and when it dried a bit (but not 100%) I stuck it on the nail. The bunny rabbit comes from Uber Chic Yay Spring! plate. I stamped it with Kaleidoscope 01 Black, afterwards coloured with Salon Perfect Foggy Night and Golden Rose Ice Chic 06.

Checked Nails & Yellow Flowers

Wiosna zaczęła sie już jakiś czas temu i od tego czasu mieliśmy trochę na prawdę ąłdnej podoby, ale ostatnio wzrócił deszcz i zimno.. Żeby uniknąć depresyjnego nastroju musiałam zrobić jakieś ciepłe i radosne paznokcie.

Spring started a while ago and since then we had some really nice weather, but lately rain and cold came back.. In order to avoid the depressing mood I had to do some warm and cheerful nails.

Dla mnie żółty to jeden z najbardziej radosnych kolorów, więc właśnie jego wybrałam do dzisjeszego mani. Nałożyłam dwe grubsze warstwy Color Club Macaroon Swoon jako bazę.

For me yellow is one of the most cheerful colours, so that's what I picked for today's manicure. I applied two thicker coats of Color Club Macaroon Swoon as my base.

Chciałam wypróbować jakies nowe płytki MoYou London, więc poszłam w kraciasty wzór na większości paznokci i kombinację tej samej kratki z kwiatami na kciuku i serdecznym. Te dwa wzory pochodzą z całkiem innych płytek, ale wzór kratki był tak podobny, że musiałam je ze sobą sparować.

I wanted to try out some new MoYou London plates, so I went with a black, checked design on most of my nails and a combination of the same check and flowers on my thumb and ring finger. These two design come from totally different plates, but the check design is was similar, that I just had to pare them up.

Płytki jakich użyłam to MoYou London Hipster 05 i Trend Hunter 02. Użyłam też lakieru Kaleidoscope Black i Stempla Aliexpress Blue Metal Handle XL.

The plates I used are MoYou London Hipster 05 and Trend Hunter 02. I also used Kaleidoscope 01 Black and Aliexpress Blue Metal Handle XL Stamper.

Zabezpieczyłam stemple top coat'em Kads (moim top coat'em numer jeden do zdobień) i zaczęłam kolorować kwiaty żółtym tint'em. Wybrałam P2 Gloss Goes Neon Spaceshot, ponieważ daje żywy kolor już przy jednej warstwie. Po wyschnięciu tint'a nałozyłam jedną warstwę INM Out The Door.

I secured my stamping with Kads top coat (my number one top coat for nail art designs) and started to colour the flowers with a yellow, sheer tint. I chose P2 Gloss Goes Neon Spaceshot, because it gives a vibrant colour in just one layer. After the tint dried I applied one coat of INM Out The Door.

Manicure Gone Wrong..

Jestem pewna, że zastanawiacie się dlaczego dałam temu mani taki tytuł. Cóż, użyłam jako bazy solarnego lakieru i zrobiłam na nim stemple. Wszystko było super kiedy zdobienie było w cieniu, ale kiedy włożyłam rękę pod lampę UV żeby zobaczyć jak wyglądałoby w słońcu.. stało się coś dziwnego :/

I'm sure You're wondering why did I give this manicure such a title. Well, I used a solar active nail polish as a base and did some stamping over it. Everything was great when the nail art was in the shade, but when I put my hand under a UV lamp to see how it would look in the sun.. something weird happened :/

Na zdjęciu powyżej możecie zobaczyć jak wyglądały obie versje tego mani. Użyłam jako bazy lakieru Ruby Wing Poppy. To żywy róż w cieniu i ciemny, burgundowy odcień w slońcu.

On the photo above You can see how the both versions of this manicure looked like. I used Ruby Wing Poppy as a base colour. It's a vibrant pink in the shade and a dark burgundy colour in the sun.

Zdecydowałam się odbić wzorek jasnym różem (Kaleidoscope 81 Bisque). Pomyślałam, że będzie widoczny na obu kolorach. Wzór jaki możecie zobaczyć na moich paznokciach pochodzi z płytki Uber Chic Love & Marriage 01 i odbiłam go Stemplem B. Loves Plates Crystal Clear.

I decided to stamp a design in light pink (Kaleidoscope 81 Bisque). I thought it would be visible on both colours. The design You can see on my nails comes from Uber Chic Love & Marriage 01 plate and I stamped it with B. Loves Plates Crystal Clear Stamper.

Manicure był zabezpieczony jedną warstwą Sally Hansen Maximum Growth i jedną warstwą INM Out The Door.

The manicure was secured with one coat of Sally Hansen Maximum Growth and one coat of INM Out The Door.

Wersja "w cieniu" tego mani wygląda ładnie. Ale poniżej możecie zobaczyć jak to zdobienie wyglądało jak wyjęłam rękę spod lampy UV. Użyłam lampy żeby zobaczyć jak solarne lakiery wyglądają w wersjach "w słońcu", ponieważ nie zawsze tak łatwo złapać bezpośrednie słońce kiedy się go potrzebuje. Musicie przyznać, że to nie wygląda dobrze.. wzór przybrał szary odcień. Nie jestem pewna co się tutajstało. Nie sądzę żeby lakier do stempli Kaleidoscope zmienial kolor pod wpływem promieniowania UV. Powiedziałabym raczej, że to wynik użycia któregoś z top coat'ów, ale nie próbowałam jeszcze rozwikłać tej zagadki.

The "shade" version of this mani looks nice. But below You can see how this nail art looked when I took my hand out of the UV lamp. I used the lamp to see the solar polishes look in the "sunny" versions, because it's not always so easy to catch the direct sun when I need it. You have to admit that his doesn't look good.. the design turned in to an ugly shade of grey. I'm not sure what happened here. I don't think that the Kaleidoscope stamping polish changes colour under the UV lamp. I would rather say that this was the result of using one of the top coats, but I didn't try to solve this mystery yet.

To mani przetrwało tylko sesję zdjęciową. Nie nosiłam go dłużej jak zobaczyłam jego brzydszą wersję.

This manicure only survived during the photo shoot. I didn't wear it longer when I saw the ugly version.

Dzisiaj przychodzę do Was z kolejnym starszym mani. Nie bardzo pamiętam kiedy zrobiłam to zdobienie, ale to było dawno temu..

I'm coming to You today with another older manicure. I don't really remember when I made this nail art, but it was a long time ago.

Bazowy kolor jaki mam na paznokciach to jeden z moich ulubionych lakierów - Kiko 372 Nude. To blady odcień różu, moim zdaniem lekko po chłodnej stronie mocy. Dla mojeko koloru skóry to idealny odcień, kiedy nie chcę żeby paznokcia zanadto się wyróżniały. Nałożyłam dwie wartwy dla pełnego krycia.

The base colour I have on my nails is one of my favourite polishes - Kiko 372 Nude. It's a pale shade of pink, slightly on the cool side in my opinion. For my skin tone this is a perfect shade, when I don't want my nails to stand out too much. I applied two coats for full opacity.

Chciałam żeby to mani było delikatne, więc wybrałam śliczny wzór z płytki Uber Chic Love & Marriage 01 i odbiłam go tylko po jednej stronie każdego paznokcia. Użyłam Stempla Uber Chic XL Clear w raczce z Aliexpress żeby umieścić wzór dokładnie tam gdzie chciałam. Lakier jakim odbijałam to Born Pretty Store #13.

 

I wanted this manicure to be delicate, so I choose a beautiful design from Uber Chic Love & Marriage 01 plate and stamped it on one side of each nails. I used my Uber Chic XL Clear Stamped Head in an Aliexpress Holder to place the design exactly where I wanted. The polish I stamped with is Born Pretty Store #13.

Moje zdobienie jest zabezpieczone jedną warstwą Sally Hansen Maximum Growth i jedną warstwą INM Out The Door. Tym sposobem unikam rozmazania wzoru (co niestety INM robi) i nie muszę rezygnować z szybko schnących właściwości mojego ulubionego top coat'u.

My nail art is secured with one coat of Sally Hansen Maximum Growth and one coat of INM Out The Door. This way I avoid smudging the design (what INM unfortunately does) and don't have to give up the quick drying qualities of my favourite top coat.
