REVIEW: Born Pretty Store Holo Polish H008 All-embracing

Tak jak obiecałam, dzisiaj będziemy się przyglądać kolejnemu holograficznemu lakierowi z Born Pretty Store. Tym razem to zielony odcień o nazwie H008 All-embracing.

Just like I promised, today we'll be looking at another holographic polish from Born Pretty Store. This time it's a green shade called H008 All-embracing.

Podobnie jak przy fioletowym odcieniu, który recenzowałam TUTAJ, 10ml zielonego holo zamknięte jest w prostokątnej buteleczce. Zakrętka zdejmyje się, a pędzelek jest dość szeroki. Kolor o jakim piszę dostępny jest TUTAJ.

Similar to the purple shade I reviewed HERE, 10ml of the green holo is locked in a rectangular bottle. The cap is removable and the brush is quite wide. The colour I'm writing about is available HERE.

Pierwszy manicure jaki zrobiłam z tym lakierem to kombinacja ze stemplami. Nałożyłam dwie warstwy holo bez bazy pod spodem. Ten konkretny kolor jest mniej kryjący od fioletowego, ale nadal dwie warstwy wystarczyły.

The first manicure I did with this polish is a combination with some stamping. I applied two coats of the holo with no base underneath. This particular colour is less opaque than the purple one, but still two coats we're enough.

Na palcu serdecznym i środkowym możecie zobaczyć wzór z płytki Uber Chic 5-02. Odbiłam go Kaleidoscope 01 Black i Stemplem B. Loves Plates Jumbo. Te dwa paznokcie pokryłam również jedną warstwą top coat'u Kads. Reszta paznokci ma na sobie tylko holo.

On my ring and middle finger You can see a design from Uber Chic 5-02 plate. I stamped it with Kaleidoscope 01 Black and B. Loves Plates Jumbo Stamper. I also covered these two nails with one layer of Kads top coat. The rest of my nails have just the holo on them.

Tak jak ostatnim razem próbowałam uchwycić ten lakier w każdym świetle. Dwa pierwsze zdjęcia są w naturalnym oświetleniu, dwa następne w sztucznym (w moim przypadku pod lampą pierścieniową), a pozostałe - w bezpośrednim słońcu.

Just like last time I tried to catch this polish in every light. The first two photos are in natural light, the second two in artificial light (in my case under a ring light) and the rest - in direct sunlight.

Mam wrażenie, że ten odcień ma silniejszy efekt holograficzny niż fioletowy. Może to nie jest duża różnica, ale dla mnie znacząca. Nie jestem pewna czy to ponieważ kolor jest jaśniejszy czy to po prostu zbieg okoliczności.

I feel that this shade has a stronger holographic effect than the purple one. Maybe it's not a big difference, but in my opinion a significant one. I'm not sure if it's because this colour is lighter or if it's just a coincidence.

Zdjęcia w słońcu sa oczywiście najbardziej imponujące. Efekt holograficzny jest silny, liniowy i niesamowity. Na początku nie byłam zbyt zachwycona tym odcieniem. Myślałam, że będzie bardziej turkusowy niż zielony, ale kiedy zobaczyłam go w slońcu zakochałam się.

The photos in sunlight are of course the most impressive ones. The holographic effect is strong, linear and amazing. I wasn't to thrilled about this shade at first. I thought it would be more turquoise than green, but in when I saw it in the sun I fell in love.

Mój drugi manicure dzisiaj to kolejne czarno zielone kombo, ale tym razem bez stempli. Dalej chciałam żeby było trochę bardziej interesujące niż tylko swatch, mam nadzieję, że się udało.

My second manicure today is another black and green combo, but this time without stamping. I still wanted to make it a little more interesting than just a swatch, I hope I managed to.

Większość paznokci pokryłam dwiema warstwami H008 All-embracing. Beż bazy i bez top coat'u. Na wskazujący i kciuk nałożyłam dwie warstwy My Secret Dressed In Black, a na środkowym połaczyłam te dwa kolory.

Most of my nails are covered with two coats of H008 All-embracing. No base coat and no top coat. On my pointer and thumb I applied two coats of My Secret Dressed In Black and on my middle finger I combined the two colours.

Żeby stworzyć tak idelną falę na środku paznokcia użyłam naklejek do french'a. Ważne jest żeby przyklejać je do całkowicie suchego koloru bazowego (w moim przypadku H008) i używać kryjącego lakieru na wierzch (w moim przypadku My Secret Dressed In Black). To pozwala nam nałożyć tylko jedną warstwę naszego drugiego koloru i odkleić naklejkę kiedy lakier jest jeszcze mokry.

To create such a perfect wave in the middle of my nail I used a french tip sticker. It's important to stick it to a fully dried base colour (in my case H008) and use an opaque nail polish on top (in my case My Secret Dressed In Black). This allows us to apply just one coat of our second colour and peel the sticker off when the polish is still wet.

Tutaj z kolei jest porównanie BPS H008 All-embracing bez top coat'u, z top coat'em i jedynego, holograficznego lakieru o jakim myślałam, że będzie do niego podobny (nie jest jednak).

Here on the other hand is a comparison of BPS H008 All-embracing without top coat, with top coat and the only holographic polish I thought would be similar to it (it isn't though).

Jak widzicie rezultat jest bliski temu, który uzyskałam przy fioletowym holo H003 Temptation Wait. Top coat zdaje się przyciemniać lakier i sprawia, że efekt holograficzny jest trochę bardziej widoczny. Nie jestem pewna czy zaobserwowałam to na paznokciach, ale wzorniki nie kłamią (przynajmniej taką mam nadzieję). Lakier do jakiego próbowalam przyrównać H008 to Color Club Angel Kiss. To odcień jaki sobie wyobrażałam kiedy wybierałam H008 (ewentualnie trochę ciemniejszy), ale jest on dużo, dużo zieleńszy. Właściwości holograficzne są jednak podobne, oba te lakiery dają silny i liniowy efekt.

As You can see the result is close to the one I got with the purple holo H003 Temptation Wait. The top coat seems to darken the polish and makes the holographic effect even a bit more visible. I'm not sure if I spotted that on the nail, but the nail displays don't lie (at least I hope they don't). The polish I tried to compare H008 to is Color Club Angel Kiss. That's the shade I imagined H008 to look like when I picked it (or a little darker), but it's much, much greener. The holographic qualities are similar though, both of these polishes give a strong and linear effect.

Po obejrzeniu mnóstwa swatchy w internecie pokazujących jak silny i liniowy efekt holo mają - dwa z nich wybrałam do recenzji. Dzisiaj będziemy dyskutować o fioletowej piekności - H003 Temptation Wait. Drugi kolor jaki mam to zielony H008 All-embracing, ale ten zostawię na następny raz.

It's time for a review I've been working on for quite some time now. Holographic polishes from the Born Pretty Store brand were destined to appear on my blog at some point. After seeing numerous swatches on the internet, showing what a strong and linear holo effect they have - I chose two of them for review . Today we'll be discussing the purple beauty - H003 Temptation Wait. The second colour I have is green H008 All-embracing, but I'll be leaving that one for next time.

Zacznijmy od kilku szczegółow dotyczących samego lakieru. Holo przychodzi w srebrnym, kartonowym pudełeczku z numerem i nazwą lakieru na wierzchu. Ta cześć jest trichę niefortunna, ponieważ ja musiałam nakleić swoje własne etykiety na butelki żaby rozróżnić odcienie. Tak jest po prostu łatwiej, niż szukać w internecie nazwy kalieru za każdym razem jak chciałoby się o nim napisać.

Let's start from some details about the polish itself. The holo comes in a silver cupboard box with the name and number of the polish on top. This part is quite unfortunate, because I had to put my own labels on the bottles in order to distinguish the shades. It's just easier that way, than to search for the name of the polish each time I want to write about it.

Buteleczki i zakrętki są prosokątne, ale możemy z łatwością zdjać kanciastą cześć zakrętki. W ten sposób mamy lepszą możliwość chwycenia nasady pędzelka. Przynajmniej dla mnie lepiej jest trzymać standardowy uchwyt pędzelka niż taki duży, prostokątny. Sam pędzelek jest trochę za szeroki.. Można jednym pociągnięciem pomalować całe paznkieć i to jest plus dla niektórych osób. Ja osobiście wolę mieć trochę węższy pędzelek i więcej kontroli nad tym jak dokładnie nakładam lakier w pobliżu skórek. Każda buteleczka ma 1ml produktu. Firma oferuje holograficzne lakiery w również sześcio mililitrowych buteleczkach, ale nie wiem czy kolory są odpowiednikami. Dokładnie ten lakier jaki recenzuję jest TUTAJ.

The bottles and the caps are rectangular, but we can easily take the cap's angular part off. That way we get a better grip on the brush handle. At least for me it's better to hold a standard brush handle than such a big rectangular one. The brush itself is a bit too wide.. You can cover a whole nail with one stroke and that's a plus for some people. I personally prefer to have a slightly narrower brush and more control over how precisely I apply the polish in the cuticle area. Each bottle contains 10ml of the product. The brand offers holographic polishes in 6ml bottles as well, but I don't know if the colours correspond. The exact polish I'm reviewing is HERE.

Mój pierwszy manicure z użyciem tego lakieru był prostym zdobieniem stemplowym. Odbiłam wzór tylko na dwóch paznokciach, żebyście mogli zobaczyć ten holograficzny lakier również solo.

My first manicure using this polish was a simple stamping nail art. I only stamped two nails, so You'd be able to see this holographic polish on it's own as well.

W tym mani użyłam kremowej bazy (jednej warstwy Color Club Mrs. Robinson) pod holo, żeby ułatwić procedurę czyszczenia skórek. Nie było to jednak konieczne. H003 Temptation Wait świetnie kryje przy jednej warstwie i dobrze się zmywa przy skórkach. Byłam na prawdę pod wrażeniem.

In this manicure I used a cream base (one coat of Color Club Mrs. Robinson) underneath the holo to ease the cuticle area clean-up routine. It wasn't necessary though. The H003 Temptation Wait covers amazingly in one coat and cleans up well from the cuticles. I was really impressed.

Wzorek jaki możecie zobaczyć na moich paznokciach pochodzi z płytki Lina Feeling Shapely 08. Odbiłam go Stemplem B. Loves Plates Jumbo i lakierem do stempli Kaleidoscope 87 Lavender.

The design You can see on two of my nails comes from Lina Feeling Shapely 08 plate. I stamped it with B. Loves Plates Jumbo Stamper and Kaleidoscope 87 Lavender stamping polish.

Muszę Was ostrzec, że zrobiłam dużo zdjęć. Próbowałam uchwycić efekt holo w różnym oświetleniu żeby jak najdokładniej zrecenzować te lakiery. Jak widzicie lakier w świetle dziennym nie sprawia, że serce bije szybciej. Efekt jest dużo lepszy w sztucznym świetle (w moim przypadku pod lampą pierścieniową), ale zaczekajcie aż zobaczycie ten lakier w bezpośrednim słońcu!

I have to warn You that I made a lot of photos. I tried to catch the holo effect in various lighting to review these polishes as thoroughly as possible. As You can see the polish in natural light doesn't make your hear beat faster. The effect is much better in artificial light (in my case under s ring light), but wait to see this polish in direct sunlight!

Kolejną ważną kwestią jest użycie top coat'u. W tym mani pokryłam stemplowane paznokcie top coat'em Kads, a potem wszystkie paznokcie INM Out The Door. Przy tym konkretnym holograficznym kolorze widziałam znaczącą różnicę między paznokciami porytymi top coatem a paznokciami a samym lakierem. H003 stał się bardziej błyszczący, to normalne, ale w tym samym momencie kolor stal się bardziej intensywny, ciemniejszy. Efekt holo nie ucierpiał, wyglądał nawet lepiej na wzornikach pokrytych top coat'em, które pokażę Wam na koniec posta.

Another important thing is the usage of top coat. In this manicure I covered the stamped nails with Kads top coat and after that all of my nails with INM Out The Door. With this particular holografic colour I saw a significant difference between nails covered with a top coat and the nails with only the polish on them. H003 got more glossy, that's normal, but at the same time the colour intensified, darkened. The holo effect didn't suffer, it even looks better on the nail displays covered with top coat, which I'll show You in the end of the post.

Następnym mani jaki zrobiłam również była kompozycja holo i stempli. Pomyślałam, że proste swatche byłyby trochę nudne, więc dodoałam wzorek. Tym sposobem dostajecie dwa w jednym - swatch i zdobienie ;)

The next manicure I did was a composition of holo and stamping as well. I thought simple swatches would be a bit boring, so I added the design. This way You get both - a swatch and some nail art ;)

Tym razem widzicie lakier holograficzny solo. Nie użyłam ani bazy ani top coat'u. Nałożyłam dwie warstwy, ale pierwsza wyglądała w zasadzie na tak samo kryjącą.

This time You see the holographic polish on it's own. I didn't use a base or a top coat. I applied two coats, but the first one was actually just as opaque.

Jeśli chodzi o zdobienie, użyłam jako bazy Kiko 330 Lilac i nałożyłam dwie warstwy. Odbiłam wzór z płytki Uber Chic 12-03 używając Stempla Aliexpress Blue Metal Handle XL oraz lakieru do stempli Born Pretty Store #2603. Na koniec dodałam też do wzoru trochę kropek lakierem Temptation Wait żeby połaczyć go bardziej z pozostałymi paznokciami. Stemple byly zabezpieczone jedna warstwą top coat'u Kads.

When it comes to the nail art, I used Kiko 330 Lilac as a base and applied two coats. I stamped a design from Uber Chic 12-03 stamping plate using Aliexpress Blue Metal Handle XL Stamper and Born Pretty Store #2603 stamping polish. In the end I also added to the design some dots of Temptation Wait to link it more with the other nails. The stamping was secured with one coat of Kads top coat.

To jest prawdopodobnie to na co czekaliście - zdjęcia w słońcu! To nie sekret, że holograficzne lakiery najlepiej wyglądają w tego typu oświetleniu. BPS H003 nie był inny.

This is probably what You've been waiting for - photos in sunlight! It's not a secret that holographic nail polishes look best in this type of lighting. BPS H003 was no different.

Tutaj jest kilka swatch'y na wzornikach. Zrobiłam porównanie mięszy BPS H003 Temptation Wait z top coat'em oraz bez niego. Chciałam też zobaczyć jak podobny jest ten lakier do moich innych fioletowych holo - Color Club Eternal Beauty i popolarnego ostatnimi czasy Golden Rose Holographic 05. Jak widzicie nie ma tu dupe'ów. BPS jest dużo ciemniejszy, a jednocześniema trochę mniej intensywny efekt holo.

Here are some swatches on nail displays. I did a comparison between BPS H003 Temptation Wait with top coat and without it. I also wanted to see how similar this polish is to my other purple holos - Color Club Eternal Beauty and the popular nowadays Golden Rose Holographic 05. As You can see no dupes here. BPS is much darker, but at the same time has a bit less intensive holo effect.

Podsumowując muszę powiedzieć, że ten lakier był na prawdę fajny. Kryjący po jednej warstwie, łatwy w użytku i spektakularny w bezpośrednim słońcu. Nie była zbytnio pod wrażeniem efektu w cieniu, ale to nic nowego. Muszę też zaznaczyć, że holograficzne własciwości tego koloru nie były tak silne jak w niektórych moich innych fioletach, ale są one dużo jaśniejsze. Może to jest powód. Niemniej jednak cieszę się, że mam ten lakier w kolekcji.

In conclusion I have to say that this polish was really nice. Opaque in one coat, easy to work with and spectacular in direct sunlight. I wasn't too impressed with the effect in the shade, but that's not something new. I also have to point out that the holographic properties of this shade weren't as strong as in some of my other purples, but they are much lighter. Maybe that's the cause. Nevertheless I'm happy to have this polish in my collection.

Dwa dni temu wpadłam na Instagramie na bardzo ciekawy hashtag - #HalfWayToHalloweenInstaParty. Inicjatywa jest świetna i wiecie jaki mam stosunek do Halloween. Oczywistym było, że musialam dołączyc :D Impreza zaczęła się 24ego kwietnia i kończy się dzisiaj. Nie miałam za wiele czasu żeby wymyślić manicure, ale jestem zadowolona z tego co udało mi się zrobić.

Two days ago I came across a very interesting hashtag on Instagram - #HalfWayToHalloweenInstaParty. The initiative is great and You know how I feel about Halloween. It was obvious I had to participate :D The party started on the 24th of April and ends today. I didn't have a lot of time to come up with a manicure, but I'm happy with what I managed to do.

Duża część tego zdobienia była inspirowana mani jakie zobaczyłam w internecie (TUTAJ). Dodałam co prawda trochę krwi, ale zasługi należą sie też Ruth z adorenedclaws.com. Kolejną inspiracja do zrobienia tego mani była dla mnie seria książek Simon'a Beckett'a zaczynająca się od Chemii Śmierci. Myślę, że patrząć na moje zdobienie łatwo można dostrzec podobieństwo do okładek tej powieści.

A big part of this nail art was inspired by a manicure I saw on the internet (HERE). I did add some blood to it, but credit to Ruth from adorenedclaws.com is in order. Another thing that inspired me to do this manicure was a series of books by Simon Beckett started with The Chemistry Of Death. I think looking at my nail art You can easily see the resemblance to the book covers of this novel.

Kolor bazowy tutaj to czerń. Nałożyłam swie warstwy Kiko 275 Black i poczekałam aż całkowicie wyschną. Następnym krokiem było zrobienie jaśniejszej przestrzeni na środku paznokcia. Użyłam lakieru Virtual London Fog i naciapałam go gąbką.

The base colour here was black. I applied two coats of Kiko 275 Black and waited for it to dry completely. My next step was making the light area in the centre of my nail. I used Virtual London Fog and dabbed it with a sponge.

Litery jakie możecie zobaczyć na moich paznokciach to wzór z płytki MoYou London Gothic 04. Odbiłam je Stemplem Born Pretty Store XL Clear i lakierem Kaleidoscope 01 Black.

The letters You can see on my nails are a design from MoYou London Gothic 04 plate. I stamped them with Born Pretty Store XL Clear Stamper and Kaleidoscope 01 Black.

 

Żeby wykończyć look dodałam trochę kropel krwi. Użyłam płytki MoYou London Artist 23, lakieru Kaleidoscope 13 True Red i tego samego przezroczystego stempla co wcześniej.

To finish the look I added some blood drops. I used MoYou London Artist 23 plate, Kaleidoscope 13 True Red and the same clear stamper as before.

Manicure zabezpieczyłam dwoma top coat'ami. Najpierw Kads żeby uniknąć rozmazania stempli, potem INM Out The Door żeby przyśpieczyć wysychanie.

I secured the manicure with two top coats. First first Kads to avoid smudging the stamping, next with INM Out The door to speed the drying process.

Ta okazja woła o tematyczne mani, więc zrobiłam trochę pisanek i zajączków na paznokciach. Główne kolory to szarość i jasny róż.

This occasion calls for a themed manicure, so I made some Easter eggs and bunnies on my nails. The main colours are grey and light pink.

Kolor bazowy na moich paznokciach to Salon Perfect Foggy Night. Nałożyłam dwie warstwy i zaczęłam odbijać pisankowy wzorek z płytki MoYou London Festive 22. Użyłam lakieru do stempli Colour Alike & B. Loves Plates B. a Sweetheart oraz Stempla B. Loves Plates Crystal Clear.

The base colour on most of my nails is Salon Perfect Foggy Night. I applied two coats and started stamping my Easter egg pattern from MoYou London Festive 22 plate. I used Colour Alike & B. Loves Plates B. a Sweetheart stamping polish and B. Loves Plates Crystal Clear Stamper.

Na kciuk i palec serdeczny wybrałam różową bazę i naklejki stemplowe. Kolor bazowy to ten sam lakier, którym odbijałam pisankowy wzór. Użyłam dwóch warstw, ale lakier był tak gęsty, że było to nie lada wyzwanie. Naklejka zrobiona została na przezroczystym stemplu, a kiedy trochę wyschła (ale nie w 100%) przykleiłam ją do paznokcia. Zajączek pochodzi z płytki Uber Chic Yay Spring!. Odbiłam go lakierem Kaleidoscope 01 Black, a następnie pokolorowałam Salon Perfect Foggy Night i Golden Rose Ice Chic 06.

For my thumb and ring finger I chose a pink base and some stamping decals. The base colour is actually the same polish I stamped the Easter egg pattern with. I used two coats, but the polish is really thick and painting with it was a challenge. The decal was made on a clear stamper and when it dried a bit (but not 100%) I stuck it on the nail. The bunny rabbit comes from Uber Chic Yay Spring! plate. I stamped it with Kaleidoscope 01 Black, afterwards coloured with Salon Perfect Foggy Night and Golden Rose Ice Chic 06.
