Dzisiaj mam morskie mani i or razu skojarzyło mi się ono z filmem/książką Dwadzieścia Tysięcy Mil Podmorskiej Żeglugi. Nigdy nawet tego nie oglądałam ani nie czytałam, ale tytuł jest tak charakterystyczny, że jakimś sposobem przyszedł mi na myśl.

Today I have a nautical manicure and it instantly reminded me of the movie/book Twenty Thousand Leagues Under The Sea. I never even watched or read it, but the title is so characteristic that it came to mind somehow.
Ciemny, marynarski granat którego użyłam to China Glaze One Track Mind. Nałożyłam dwie warstwy, ale lakier ich absolutnie nie potrzebował. To idealny jednowarstwowiec, ale często robię sobie prześwit blisko skórek jak nakładam top coat. Myślę, że za mocno przyciskam pędzelek i to jedyny powód dla którego nałożyłam dwie warstwy tutaj. Konsystencja jest trochę rzadka, ,usiałam uważać żeby nie zalać skórek. Poza tym, praca z tym lakierem to czysta przyjemność.
The dark, navy blue I used here is China Glaze One Track Mind. I applied two coats, but the polish absolutely didn't need that. It's a perfect one-coater, but I often make myself a blind spot near the cuticles when I apply a top coat. I think I just press the brush too hard and that's the only reason why I did two coats here. The formula is a bit runny, I had to look out not to flood my cuticles. Other than that, working with this polish was pure pleasure.
Mój palec serdeczny i środkowy to gwiazdy tego mani. Jako bazy użyłam Color Club Disco's Not Dead i nałożyłam trzy warstwy.
Ten lakier ma całkiem unikalny kolor dla mnie, to nie pastelowy żółty..
To znaczy, jest! Ale nie w taki sposób jak zazwyczaj są, ma w sobie
pomarańczowawe tony. Na prawdę mi się podoba :) Aplikacja była podobna
jak przy Color Club Under The Blacklight, ale zauważyłam, że dobrze jest
pozwolić poprzedniej warstwie dobrze wyschnąć zanim pomalujemy kolejną.
Ja nałozyłam na jednym paznokci trzy szybkie warstwy i miałam na nim
bąbelki.
My ring and middle finger are the stars of this manicure. As a base I used Color Club Disco's Not Dead and I applied three coats. This polish has quite a unique colour for me, it's not a pastel yellow.. Well, it is! But not in the way they normally are, it has orangey undertones. I really like it :) The application was similar to Color Club Under The Blacklight, but I noticed that it's good to let the previous layer dry good before painting a new one. I applied three quick coats on one of my nails and I had some bubbles on it.
Na dwóch jaśniejszych paznokciach zrobiłam stemplowe wzorki z płytki MoYou London Scholar 07. Chciałam żeby trochę przypominały starą mapę. Do odbijania użyłam Essie Fierce, No Fear. Żeby te paznokcie pasowały do reszty i żeby nadać im bardziej morskiego charakteru dodałam trochę mniejszych wzorków przedstawiających róże kierunków w tym samym ciemnym, marynarskim kolorze.
On the two light coloured nails I did a stamping design from MoYou London Scholar 07 image plate. I wanted them to look a bit like an old map. I used Essie Fierce, No Fear for the stamping. To match these nails with the rest and to give them more of a nautical character I added some smaller images of compass roses in the same dark, navy colour.
